The Department of Business Administration has designed its programme to equip students with the right conceptual foundation, analytical skills and knowledge application ability and is kept relevant with the dynamics of the changing business environment. With social sensitivity at its core, the emphasis is on experiential learning and holistic development.

Through our pedagogical innovation, students are exposed to experiences and activities that prepare them to confront the complex business environment head-on. The focus of the department is on four dimensions: Conceptual Learning, Development of Soft skills, Industry Interaction and Employability Orientation. The various activities under each of these dimensions help to mould and transform the department students into professionally competent and socially sensitive individuals.

Programmes

Bachelor of Business Administration or BBA is one of the most popular and sought after bachelor degree programmes pursued by students after Class 12. BBA is a three-year professional undergraduate course offered under Six semesters. It is open to students from all the three streams: Science, Arts and Commerce. The BBA course offers knowledge and training in management and leadership skills to prepare for managerial roles and entrepreneurship. The course will help the students learn various aspects of business administration and management through classroom lectures and with projects and internships. The course will acquaint the students with various aspects of the business administration, finance, marketing, HR, tourism management etc.

Eligibility

Any candidate who has passed the Plus Two of the Higher Secondary Board of Kerala or that of any other university or Board of Examinations in any state recognized as equivalent to the Plus Two of the Higher Secondary Board in Kerala, with not less than 45 % marks in aggregate is eligible for admission.

Scope

The BBA course is the gateway to a plethora of job opportunities in numerous sectors such as Marketing, Education, Finance, Sales, and Government to name a few.

BBA graduates can be employed for roles in business management and sales. Some companies also offer roles of a production supervisor, planner, and administrator. BBA graduates seek companies that are involved in the business of manufacturing, construction, retail, and finance. They can also apply for various government agencies.

A Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a post-graduate level degree that is often desired by employers for positions such as CEO or COO. Doctoral programs are also available in business administration, which can prepare business professionals for work as consultants, executives or university professors. Streams like CA, CMA, M.Com and Courses in Supply chain Management and Logistics are also open to BBA graduates.
