ADMISSION TO UG & PG PROGRAMMES


            The admissions to both UG and PG Programmes are governed by the rules and regulations prescribed by the University of Kerala and Government of Kerala. The University has introduced Single Window Admission Scheme under Online Centralized Allotment Process. Candidates without Online Registration are not eligible for admission. All candidates, both merit and management, seeking admission to any Undergraduate and Post Graduate Programmes should compulsorily register in the university online admission portal www.admissions.keralauniversity.ac.in before the closure of registration, irrespective of the Category (General/ SEBC/ BPL/ SC/ST/ Community /Management etc.)
           In accordance with the centralized allotment of the university, 50% of the seats are filled strictly on merit basis. Students selected under merit quota have to submit college admission form only at the time of merit admission.

Admission under Management Quota

1. Management quota seats are strictly filled on the basis of pre-booking by candidates adhering to the eligibility conditions prescribed by the university as well as the institution. The institution reserves the right to establish additional criteria for management admissions of different programmes.

2. Students seeking admission under management quota have to book their seat at the earliest by submitting prescribed form in the college.

3. There is no centralized allotment for seats ear marked under Management Quota. Even so, candidates seeking admission to the Management quota seats are invariably required to register online in the admission portal of the University of Kerala.

4. If a candidate has already registered for centralized allotment process, it is sufficient for admission under Management Quota also. There is no need of separate registration under Management Quota.

5. Candidates considered for management seats will be intimated by the college and candidates need to submit the printout of the latest online application form to the college along with required fee and other relevant documents prescribed.

6. Any kind of false information in the application will lead to cancellation of admission.

7. Candidates who fail to take admission on the prescribed date will lose their seat allotted under management quota.
Preventive measure against ragging: If an applicant for admission is found to have indulged in ragging in the past or if it is noticed later that he/she had indulged in ragging, either he/she will not be admitted or shall be expelled from the educational institution.

UG/PG ADMISSION EIGHT STEP PROCESS



DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION

          All candidates who take admission in a college shall submit the following documents before the Principal/Head of the College/Institution concerned. No additional time will be granted to the candidates for submitting the documents at the time of admission.

  1. Print out of completed online application.
  2. The original fee receipt / transaction slip towards Registration fee.
  3. The original fee receipt / transaction slip towards University Admission Fee.
  4. Allotment Memo (Latest) in case of candidates who get admission through centralized allotment/spot allotment OR Letter duly signed by the Registrar in case of candidates who get admission through special order.
  5. Original mark list/certificate of the qualifying examination.
  6. Certificate to prove date of birth.
  7. TC from the Institution last attended.
  8. Course & Conduct Certificate.
  9. Migration Certificate from the Board/University last studied.
  10. Course Cancellation memo from the University last attended (if applicable) (See clause 6.8) (Refer prospectus)
  11. Certificates from the village officer namely “The applicant belonging to Anthyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) and Priority House Hold (PHH) category” or “The income or assets certificate for Economically Weaker
  12. Sections (EWSs) in General Category” for candidates under EWS category
  13. Caste/Community Certificate for candidates under Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes quota.
  14. Non Creamy Layer Certificate in the case of SEBC candidates.
  15. Non Creamy Layer Certificate in the case of OEC candidates claiming vacant SC/ST seats.
  16. Non Creamy Layer Certificate/Community Certificate in the case of OEC candidates claiming fee concession.
  17. Community Certificate and Income Certificate in the case of candidates eligible for OEC educational assistance (Annexure V.A) (Refer prospectus)
  18. Original certificates to prove the claim for grace marks/weightage if any.
  19. Eligibility Certificate from the University of Kerala in case of candidates who have passed qualifying examination other than HSE/ VHSE conducted by Government of Kerala or the examination conducted by CBSE (AISSCE) and ISCE.
  20. Transgender identity card issued by the State Government if applicable.
  21. Undertaking from the students as per the provisions of anti-ragging verdict by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. (Annexure VII) (Refer prospectus)
  22. Any other relevant certificate for any claim made in the application.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

  • Failure to report for Admission: Candidates who do not take admission on the prescribed date will lose their allotment. They will not be considered for any further regular allotments under any circumstance.
  • Candidates have the freedom to change their password; however, they should take note of the password and application number carefully for future login.
  • Applications of candidates who do not register their personal and academic data online and who do not give their options online within the time schedule will not be considered for allotment. No opportunity will be given to incorporate any details after the last date of submission of application. Late or defective application will not be considered under any circumstances.
  • Any kind of false information will lead to cancellation of admission.
  • Any Boards, where the grades are awarded instead of marks, the candidates should enter the corresponding marks, while entering the academic data.
  • No rounding of marks / percentage to the nearest whole number will be permitted.
  • The University will not entertain any request for change of the dates of Online Centralized Allotment.
  • Any other item not specifically covered in this prospectus will be decided by the University and that decision shall be final.
